Phoebe Lane - Managing Director

Phoebe LanePhoebe Lane has served as PKL’s Managing Director and Sole Owner since its inception in 1995. Drawing upon 17 years of experience in the office support and contact recruitment sectors, Phoebe’s primary focus is developing the company’s business and financial strategies to maintain manageable growth and ensure impeccable service delivery. As part of her role, she leverages industry trends, develops new geographic markets, identifies potential targets and forges industry partnerships to facilitate PKL’s long-term success.

In addition to her fiduciary and risk management responsibilities, Phoebe also serves as a mentor to all of PKL employees. Her servant leadership philosophy is apparent in the way she operates the business, empowers her staff, builds relationships with clients and serves her community. Phoebe created PKL to provide the marketplace with a much needed workforce solutions partner that operates on the time-honoured principles of honesty, integrity, trust and accountability.

Phoebe attended Deakin University where she studied human resources and business administration. In 2006, she was selected as a finalist for the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year for her entrepreneurial vision and business acumen.

As part of her community service, Phoebe dedicates time as a volunteer to children with disabilities and cancer. Born in Sydney, Phoebe is married with two sons.

Philip Duncan - General Manager

Philip is a highly motivated and resilient executive who has had 10 years senior management experience within the Recruitment Industry and 15 years within the Retail and Marketing arenas. Through out his extensive career Philip has demonstrated strong strategic leadership skills resulting in teams delivering high performance scorecard results. Philip's entrepreneurial skills and his ability to implement and effectively manage process and procedure enhancements underpin his corporate results. Throughout his career Philip has continually delivered double digit growth to the bottom line of all organizations while maintaining high levels of service and retention to clients and employees.  

Philip is highly ethical with a strong regard for corporate and social compliance and is personally motivated by leading a team to deliver outstanding results. Philip is also extremely confident and familiar with client relationship management and has strong and proven negotiations skills at the C-Suite.

Mandy Hynda - Manager, Sydney & Brisbane

Mandy has over ten years recruitment experience in local and international markets with a strong delivery focus and expertise at managing the full responsibility for client recruitment solutions and stakeholder management. Mandy is well known for executing overall recruitment processes, enhancing client satisfaction; and has managed large scale, complex recruitment projects. Having held responsibility for remote accounts, she is experienced at managing recruitment activities across Australian and New Zealand regions.

Mandy's mentoring skills have augmented throughout her career where she has developed teams to success, recruiting across a range of corporate services job families in onsite, internal and agency capacity. Passionate about developing people, she is currently responsible for driving a high performance team of support, consultants and account specialists recruiting across a range of business support functions. Mandy also holds principal responsibility for a number of national blue chip accounts, and has a keen interest in developing talent acquisition strategies; change and relationship management.

Experienced at developing employer branding strategies to enhance recruitment processes, Mandy has also developed best practice talent acquisition functions to improve attraction strategies required when selecting key talent.
Mandy's professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Human Resources, Marketing & Management.

Kirsty Effiong- Manager, Melbourne

Kirsty has recently joined PKL after serving over 7 years as a committed and highly successful Recruitment Manager for a market leader Legal Support recruitment business. With over 11 years in recruitment and 10 years in account management across a variety of industry sectors, Kirsty brings a wealth of knowledge to PKL.

Kirsty’s impressive relationship building credentials combined with a proven track record in building high performance customer-focussed teams from inception, will now serve her well as she works with her new team to build on the PKL brand in Melbourne.

From a strategy perspective, Kirsty is well versed in business re-alignment and process re-engineering to best support the needs of her client base. Operationally she is dedicated to ensuring efficiencies in people management and delivery to both clients & candidates.
